WOW! Can you believe we have finished our penultimate term in Reception?! We have been thinking about our planet Earth and what we would put in a guide to visiting, inspired by "Here we are" by Oliver Jeffers. We designed our own planets; if you visit, you might see robots, aliens, stormy weather and lollipops!
Over half term, try and write some answers to these questions and bring them in, worth house points:
We impressed visitors from other schools with our grouping and working out how to complete the sentence, "There are _ groups of _counters. There are _ counters altogether." (There are 3 groups of 5 counters. There are 15 counters altogether.) We have been counting in 2s, 5s and 10s plus doubling numbers.
