Week 3 - W/C 14.11.22
Well done year 2 on an amazing week! This week we have been learning about Neil Armstrong and the Race to space. The children have loved learning about who went to space with Neil Armstrong and why they chose to go to space. In RE we have been looking at the Christmas story and discussing the question "Why did God give Jesus to the world?"
In English we have been sentence stacking, using similes and adjectives to describe our woodland walk and all the lovely things we did and saw. In Maths we have been adding two digit numbers together using our knowledge of tens and ones.
In Phonics we have been learning the oi sound and it's corresponding spelling oy. Our spellings this week are linked to it: toilet, coil, oil, voice, boy, royal, loyal, toy, point and soil.
