We've enjoyed the story "How to catch a star" this week. The children are making a huge effort with their writing; remembering finger spaces, writing on the line, capital letters and full stops. We even imagined a spacecraft landing on the field! In Phonics, we have been learning that the phoneme "a" can be spelt in different ways; "ai" as in rain, "ay," as in tray, "ea" as in break and "a_e" as in whale. We practised our overarm throwing skills in PE, some beanbags landing half way across the playground - awesome! We have been recording number bonds to 10 and below is an image that might help.
Enjoy the weekend, especially the sunshine!
