    Fri 19 Apr 2024 Mr A

    Welcome back.

I do hope that you have had a wonderful Easter break and that you had a lovely time with family and friends.  This term is a 6-week term and ends on Friday 24th May at 13:00.  There will be no clubs on this day.

Friday clubs will start next week, Friday 26th April and the list of new clubs will come out to you via email on Monday.  Friday clubs are not compulsory, but if you do sign your child up for a club, they must attend this weekly.

A slight update regarding Chiseldon Primary School joining the Brunel Multi-Academy Trust.  Our application is going before the regional directors' office next week.  Once I have received confirmation of their decision, I will, of course, update all parents/carers.

Another fun-packed week at school.  We have been sent a Summer Term calendar of special days - some of these are great and we are thinking about celebrating them.  We do not want to put pressure on dressing up, but if the children do want to, then that would be fine.  Days include World Penguin Day, International Harry Potter Day, World Laughter Day, VE Day, and National Leprechaun Day to name a few.  I will send out all the dates in an email so that you can decide which ones you would like to celebrate.

I hope that you have a fabulous weekend.

Another week has flown by and we are getting to grips with the new app and getting all the assessments and things set up for you.  You should now be able to see where your child is in their learning for Reading, Writing, Maths and Science.  We are working on the other subjects, which will appear before the end of the term.  You may also have noted that there are two parent evening slots on the app - you can book your appointment from the 30th of January if you prefer the Tuesday appointment or the 31st of January if you prefer the Thursday appointment.

I have reminded the children today that they must come in via the large gates where Mr Hatcliffe and I stand - this is because we have a one-way system in place but also, I feel that it is essential that we say good morning to the children as they enter the school.  Can you please make sure that you help them not get into trouble by coming in the right gate, thank you.
