What a great first week in Year 6! We have enjoyed getting to know the 'horror' genre we are studying and also lots of facts about Hollywood itself.
In English, we have started to read The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman to support our sentence stacking and have written some great sentences to create suspense and mystery. We have also used Bandlab on the laptops to create suspense/chase music, focusing on layering different instruments.
In maths we have been learning about place value and numbers that are up to and beyond a million whilst in science we have started investigating shadows and how they are formed.
