This week, we have been finalising our designs for the Primary Engineer competition. Raj, our engineer, helped with some suggestions for improvement and was incredibly impressed with the innovation shown by the children. We have written instructions for how to use our invention and composed a letter for the judges.
We have enjoyed using short division, sometimes called bus shelter method, and continue to build our speed and accuracy with MTC.
The better weather allowed us to perform parts of Holy Week outside, gaining a deeper understanding of what Christains believe happened before Easter Sunday. We also pretended to be news readers using our Oracy words: haphazard, indulge, oblige, inconspicuous and ignite.
