SEND

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all our pupils. Our dedicated team works collaboratively with families, specialists, and the wider community to ensure that every child with special educational needs and disabilities receives tailored support, enabling them to thrive academically and socially.

SEND Provision at Our School

We are committed to providing high-quality support for all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our approach is founded on the ‘assess, plan, do, review’ model, which ensures that we thoroughly understand each pupil's unique needs. This cyclical process begins with detailed assessments that gather insights from various sources, including teachers, parents, and specialists. By regularly evaluating pupils' progress and needs, we can tailor our interventions effectively and ensure that every child receives the right support at the right time.

We believe that parents are invaluable partners in this process, as they possess a deep understanding of their children's strengths and challenges. To facilitate this collaboration, our teachers meet regularly with parents to discuss their child's Individual Education Plan (IEP). These meetings provide an opportunity to set clear, achievable goals and to review progress towards them. By working together, we can create a supportive framework that empowers pupils to thrive academically and socially. Our commitment to involving parents in the planning and reviewing stages of their child's education not only strengthens our partnership but also enhances the effectiveness of the support provided, ensuring that every pupil with SEND can reach their full potential.

My Happy Mind Testimonial

Good morning Mr Allen,

I just wanted to say what a fantastic programme this is, Olivia has been telling us all about the hippocampus, including what it does and where it is! It gave us a good laugh when she brought it up at the dinner table the other night.

Kind regards,

Dan M
