Shining Bright Despite the Clouds: A Week to Remember at Chiseldon

Although the weather has been a bit gloomy this week, the spirit at Chiseldon Primary & Nursery School has been absolutely bright and brilliant! Our pupils never fail to rise to the occasion, and this week was no exception.I was incredibly proud to see our children’s exceptional behaviour at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Day.

From our tiniest 2-year-olds in Nursery to our confident Year 6 pupils, everyone showed respect and maturity beyond their years. Moments like these remind me why I am so honoured to be your headteacher.Year 6 have just completed their assessment week – a big well done to each and every one of you for your hard work and determination. Your efforts truly shine through, and I’m sure they will pay off.

This week, we also celebrated diversity alongside Anti-Bullying Week. Our pupils have been learning important lessons about kindness, respect, and acceptance. One Year 6 pupil captured it perfectly on his poster with the simple yet powerful message: Be Happy.

What a wonderful reminder for us all.Thank you to everyone for making this week so special. Keep shining, Chiseldon!
