Celebrating a Fabulous Week at School

24-04-2026

Welcome back, Chiseldon HEARTs!

What a wonderful week we’ve had — the sun has shone and OPAL is now in full swing. All play areas are open and it’s been brilliant to see pupils playing creatively together and enjoying their lunches outside under the shelter.

A couple of highlights from this week:

  • Thursday 23rd April — Schools Cricket Day
To mark 50 days until the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, we joined the nationwide Schools Cricket Day. Pupils took part in a range of catching and fielding activities and finished with lively mini-matches. The enthusiasm and teamwork on show were terrific.
  • Visit to Nando’s
Year 4 had a hands-on visit to learn about kitchen hygiene and workplace safety. They were fascinated to see their food being prepared and experienced the excitement of the catering process from start to finish.
  • Residential at Plas Pencelli
Year 5 had an action-packed trip with Miss Cheesley and Mr Ryan. They tackled a variety of challenging activities — there was plenty of water, lots of laughter, and some wonderful memories made. We’ve shared pictures and videos on the school Facebook group for all to enjoy.

Wishing everyone a sunny and restful weekend!
