Celebrating a Fabulous Week at School

Pupils Power Up: Engineering, Safety, and Sleepovers Galore!

What a fantastic week we’ve had here at school! The buzz of learning and laughter has filled every corner, and I couldn’t be prouder of our pupils. They’ve been working hard, but more importantly, they’ve been having some truly amazing experiences that make school life so special.

Take Year 4, for example. They’ve dived headfirst into their engineering competition, and let me tell you, the creativity and problem-solving on display could give some inventors a run for their money! I’m already wondering what incredible inventions our pupils will dream up by the end of the school year. Who knows? Maybe the next big thing is brewing right here in our classrooms!

Looking ahead, next week promises to be just as exciting. We’re thrilled to welcome the NSPCC team who will be working with all our children on an important topic—keeping themselves safe. It’s a vital part of our commitment to nurturing confident, well-informed pupils who know how to look after themselves and each other.

And if that’s not enough, we’ll be celebrating St. Andrew’s Day with our usual flair, followed by our much-anticipated annual school sleepover. Yes, you read that right—our school will be buzzing well past bedtime! I’m sure the children will be buzzing with excitement (and maybe a little tired the next day).

To top it all off, our wonderful Year 5 class will be stepping into the spotlight with their assembly, showcasing all the fantastic learning they’ve been up to. I can’t wait to see their hard work and enthusiasm shine on stage.

As always, thank you to all our staff, parents, and carers for your ongoing support. It’s this wonderful community spirit that makes Chiseldon such a special place to learn and grow.

Wishing you all a restful and joyful weekend. We’ll see you bright and early on Monday, ready for another week of learning adventures!
