Celebrating a Fabulous Week at School
20-03-2026Science Week Wonders and Easter Excitement at Chiseldon!
What a fantastic week of Science learning we’ve had during our Science Week! Our pupils have been buzzing with excitement exploring everything from the mysteries of Space to the zaps of static electricity. We’ve also been getting our hands dirty (in the best way!) by investigating plants and discovering how things work — and importantly, which materials are best for the job while keeping our planet happy and healthy. Science really is everywhere!
We also had a splash of green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The school was awash with lovely shades of green as our pupils proudly wore their house colours. It was like a little emerald forest walking through the corridors!
A big highlight was the arrival of the adorable chicks in EYFS. They’ve been the stars of the show, bringing smiles and “aww” moments galore. Although we say goodbye to our fluffy friends today, the memories (and the peeping sounds) will stay with us for a long time.
And if that wasn’t enough excitement, Wiltshire Cricket came to visit! Every pupil had a chance to join a workshop, showing off some amazing batting skills and taking some cracking wickets. A huge thank you to Wiltshire Cricket for bringing such fun and to everyone who made these events possible.
Next week is the final week of term, and I’m already looking forward to the Easter Bonnet Parade on Thursday. Parents, you’re warmly invited to join us for what promises to be a colourful and cheerful celebration!
Here’s to a brilliant end to the term and a joyful Easter ahead!
