The premises include well-maintained classrooms that are equipped with modern teaching resources, ensuring that every pupil has access to a high-quality educational experience. Additionally, the nursery facilities are tailored to meet the developmental needs of our youngest learners, promoting a nurturing atmosphere where they can thrive.
Enhancements and Future Developments
Recognising the importance of a stimulating environment, we are committed to continually improving our school grounds. Recent initiatives have focused on enhancing outdoor learning spaces, allowing pupils to engage with nature and develop their social skills through collaborative play. Our vision includes integrating technology into the learning environment, ensuring that IT resources are fit for purpose and support the curriculum effectively. As we move forward, we aim to create an even more enriching environment that aligns with our school values of inspiration, respect, and responsibility, ultimately contributing to the holistic development of all pupils.
Staffing at Nursery
Our nursery is dedicated to providing a high-quality early years education, tailored to meet the developmental needs of our youngest pupils. We are proud to have a qualified teacher who plans and delivers our learning experiences, ensuring that each child receives a rich and engaging curriculum. This professional oversight is crucial in creating a stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow.
We adhere to the statutory staff-to-child ratios set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which guarantees that every child receives the attention and support they need. For children aged 3 to 4 years, we maintain a ratio of one qualified teacher for every 13 pupils. Additionally, our Early Years Practitioners work with groups of up to eight children, ensuring that interactions are meaningful and individualised. For our younger learners aged 2 years, we follow a more supportive ratio of one practitioner for every five children. This structured approach not only enhances the quality of care but also promotes a nurturing atmosphere where children feel safe and valued.
By maintaining these ratios and employing qualified staff, we are committed to delivering an exceptional early years experience that lays a strong foundation for lifelong learning. If you have any further aspects you'd like to highlight about the nursery, please let me know!
