We have worked so hard this week the class were saying that their hands were hurting from all our learning! We have worked hard this week and the children have been amazing with their attitudes to their learning.
We wrote our biography on William Morris and edited it. We had mystery box which had a Black History Month prompt for us to write about.
In Maths we began looking at money and adding up different amounts and finding other ways that we can make those amounts.
We printed our wall paper after putting our design on the tiles. We found this process quite tricky but the children used their metacognition and adapted their work as they went along. You will see next week in full our finished wall papers but I did take some pictures and will share them below.
In Science we measured and recorded our forearms and skull circumferences. The children again showed great team work in helping each other to accurately measure using measuring tapes.
Just a heads up for next term - our P.E. day will now be on a Tuesday and not a Monday and the children will need trainers with them as we are looking at ball skills and they will be going on the field weather permitting.
This weeks spellings are:
Homophones & near
Y2 – T5/6
Night, knight etc.
The children are also checked weekly on their times tables. We have all achieved our 10x and most have achieved their 2x but if they could work on their 5x tables that would be great!
