Week Beginning 28.1.2019

We were very lucky to have our local PCSO in class this week.  They came in and we tried on her uniform, asked her questions and even sat in the Police car.  The sirens and lights were under the control of the children who had lots of fun and now all want to be Police Officers when they grow up.

In Maths we have been really working hard to recognise numerals to 10 in and out of sequence.  Some of the children are struggling to remember the numeral names and I will be sending home flashcards with the numerals on for them to practice with you at home.

We as a school have been looking at our Growth Mindset and we read a story about helping and encouraging our friends to not give up and keep trying to reach our best potential.  The story was called'The best dress ever' and the children enjoyed challenging themselves and reading a sentence each.

Reading books in class are chosen by the children each morning.  They read to a member of staff once a week individually and take part in whole class reading every day where children are encouraged to take part and challenge themselves.
