We have had a really busy week this week in Unicorn Class. We have been revisiting phonic sounds, n, d, c, k, and tricky words. If you would like to hear our tricky word song then it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvMyssfAUx0 the children find singing along and seeing the words helps when sounding them out and blending.
In Maths we have been practicing writing numerals and matching them to quantity. We also have been looking at numbers in the environment including dice. The children have enjoyed playing a game giving a teddy the correct number of cakes, if you would like to play at home then the link is: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/teddy-numbers
In topic we have still been researching World War 2 and rationing with the children having their own ration books and took them in to lunch on Thursday to have them stamped. We are going to be cooking a wartime treat recipe next week so stay tuned to see what we get upto!
