This week has been extremely busy and fun filled.
We have continued to learn to read and write numbers in maths as well as compare and order them.
Within book talk we are now learning more about Mr Stink and Chloe and the other characters in the book as well as the techniques David Walliams is using to engage the reader.
In English we have continued to write our diary extracts, including similes and more description.
On Wednesday we also learnt about Poland as part of European Day of Languages and learnt some Polish as well as facts about Poland and thanks to Castor's mum we also got to try some delicious Polish food.
Also as part of our topic we had a very exciting day on Thursday as we visited the STEAM museum and took part in lots of workshops to learn about WW2. We experienced being in an air raid shelter; learnt about life of women and families before and after the war and the role of the railways. After lunch we also got to play with toys from the 1940s and learn about the war from Pete who was five years old when the war started! Finally we learnt about evacuation of the children and took part in a role play. We all had a great day.
