We are having such fun with our Science topic this term! This week saw us using magnify glasses and magnifiers to examine soil and what it is made of. We all had a dig around and the children were amazed at what they found. Who knew that soil could be so interesting?!
The children also really impressed me with their planning and writing an adventure story set in the Stone Age as we have finished our class model one with the Write Stuff. We are going to be moving on to writing a holiday brochure for Skara Brae next.
In Maths we realised the importance of our 5 times tables as we were using tallys to record and identify information before moving on to pictograms and charts.
And of course as I am sure you know by now we have begun to rehearse our Christmas performance with Year 4. It follows the story of Scrooge and is proving to be a hit with both classes. Costumes have now been discussed with the majority of outfits being what I call 'home clothes' - clothes the children wear at home. The few that have specific roles will have help sourcing costumes.

We are really focusing on our 3x tables at the moment and have found a funny song on Youtube to help us. If you would like to watch the link is:
