Last week of term 1! I cannot believe we are already at this point in the year. This week the class did a piece of writing based on a picture prompt. The picture was of a space ship with aliens and astronauts floating in space. They all worked really hard on producing a piece of 'show off' work.
In Maths we have been looking at money and in particular adding converting pence into pounds and pence and back into pence. We had practical lessons where we used coins to help visualise the questions and we then recorded in our Maths books.
On Thursday we went to the hall to see the schools art gallery. The children were excited to see their piece of art alongside the rest of the school. They all worked really hard on their finished piece and I am very impressed with the perseverance shown especially in scoring the tile to then print from.
This weeks spellings are:

Lots of the class have achieved their 30 reads which is great and some are on their way to the next 30! Don't forget to read in the half term break and get your reading records signed by a grown up!
Have a lovely break and I will see you all in Term 2! - FYI it is my favourite Term, Mrs J
