Tudor Dancing

Still image for this video

Our 2nd week of our 2nd term completed and we have produced some amazing work this week.  Especially with our assessed write where we had to write a book or film review for a class magazine, there were some really interesting choices and some fantastic persuasive language.

We have continued with our Balanced argument and carried out a class debate, thinking about 'Is screen use making children lazy?' surprisingly lots of you thought it was.

In Maths we have finished looking at multiples and factors and we are continuing to work with subtraction for both our Maths working wall and also out arithmetic homework.

We have moved from the Domesday Book through to 1215 and the Magna Carta for our topic work this week.  We learnt how King John was the first king to have some of his powers reduced and how the Magana Carta impacted our own lives and also that of the rest of the world.  We also started to learn how Henry VIII danced with some traditional Tudor dancing in PE - who knew walking would be so hard!

On Thursday we went to the Cenotaph for Remembrance Day, we had produced some effective black out poetry from 'In Flanders Field' and some beautiful art work for the day.  I was really impressed with the behaviour at the Cenotaph and well done to those who read their poetry.
