Mammal Life Cycles

Another busy week in Year Five with an exciting mystery box linked to Black History Month, our whole school poetry slam today and all our normal learning as well.  Well done to Finley and Rihanna who got to represent Year Five in the poetry slam  and performed brilliantly.

We've created our final animal life cycle this week looking at mammals, we got to choose our own mammal and research all the features of its life-cycle with some very interesting results.

We have started to plan for our end of unit assessed write, based on the narrative of The Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore, I'm looking forward to seeing how these end up next week (especially as they will be linked to Escher) .

In maths most of us are now confident with numbers up to 1,000,000 and addition so we will conclude the term with Statistics.  Subtraction be the focus for our arithmetic homework next term.  Added to this we have completed our tessellations ready for our virtual art exhibition next week.
