Weekly Blog

Hello and welcome to my weekly blog,

Wow! What a week - the positiveness of England beating Denmark on Wednesday night, definitely put a spring in the step of those who are supporting England.

Thank you so much for the many emails supporting the decision to start later, I know that the children will appreciate not having to rush to school on Monday, along with the staff.

Current Restrictions

I know it seems rather odd that 60 000 England fans can all go to the football game but we cannot host a sports day or other events.  This is because the DfE have not lifted the restrictions in school for keeping staff and children safe.  There are updates for the Autumn term, where hubs will go and face-to-face meetings can happen once again but until then, we will continue to have the measures in place to keep everyone safe, so we do not have to isolate (fingers crossed) before we break for the summer holidays.  Once I have read all of the guidance, I will release an update for parents so that you know what to expect in September.  This is likely to be over the summer period but I will send it via the school APP.

Next Week...

We start the week with EYFS and KS1 hosting their sports day.  We are hoping to go live on Facebook for both events in order for parents to watch.

School reports will come via email to parents and this should be on Wednesday.

Sports day for the rest of the school and a musical extravaganza will happen on Thursday and again, we should be live on Facebook for parents to watch.

We end the week with our Spelling Bee for children who have scored well on their termly spelling test.  What an action packed week for our children.

Have a great weekend

Mr A
