We made it to the end...

Firstly, thank you so much for your support during this difficult year.  It has been one to remember being a head.  We have had some highs and lows but we have made it to the end without too many cases and we have managed not to close a hub, so a big THANK YOU for following the rules and helping keep us all safe.

On this note, staff have to test until next Wednesday to make sure that the hub is safe.  If your child does come down with the symptoms, please get a PCR test.  If this is confirmed, test and trace will then contact the school to let us know if any hub needs to isolate.  Fingers crossed that non of us test positive before then 😊

We say goodbye to our Y6 pupils.  Thank you so much for all that you have given our school.  We wish you all the very best for the future and I am sure, whatever secondary you are attending, you will show what a wonderful, talented bunch you are - all the very best.

All the children have received their Bronze, Silver or Gold behaviour award today and we shared a final assembly together.  It was lovely to see all our children back in the hall celebrating the end of the school year.

September 2nd 2021

This is the date that we return to school.  As in previous years, we will be doing a whole school topic.  The staff have decided that they are looking at Artists.  What a great way to start the year.  At the end of the term, there will be an exhibition of all the art work the children have created and you will be invited in to school.

As normal the first day will be a dress up day.  You can come as an artist, decorate a t-shirt during the holiday, or come as a painting.  You can be as creative as you like - I cannot wait to see the talent on the first day back.

EYFS: Vangogh

Year 1: Warhol

Year 2: Kandinsky

Year 3: Morris

Year 4: Lichtenstein

Year 5: Escher

Year 6: Banksy

From September, there is no need to come in one entrance and leave via the opposite.  Therefore, Mr Hatcliffe and I will be at the small gate at 08:25 welcoming everyone back.  Remember, children need to be in school by 08:45 when the gates close.

At the end of the school day, we will open the school gate and parents will be able to come on to school site, as per pre-covid, to collect your child.  Mr Hatcliffe and myself will not be showing children to parents as we have done during the pandemic.

To parents that are leaving the school as you now have no children left, thank you so much for all your support over the years, the staff and I are overwhelmed by your lovely gifts and generosity.  It has been a pleasure working with you all - please come and visit us during our events, it will be lovely to see you.

To parents who still have children in the school, thank you for all your support and kindness, the staff and I are overwhelmed by your lovely gifts and generosity.  Have a lovely summer break, enjoy the weather and have some quality time as a family without the pressure of homework and the day to day hustle and bustle of school life.  See you in September.

Have a great summer everyone, see you on the 2nd September.
