The weekly blog - keeping you up-to-date with school life; Stars of the Week; Housepoint winners and much more...

It's been a bustling few weeks at school, and I would like to share some highlights with you.

Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to all who attended our recent 'Meet the Teacher' evening. Your presence and engagement were truly appreciated. We hope you found the session informative and helpful, providing you with a clear understanding of the expectations for your child's new year group. These evenings are crucial in fostering the partnership between home and school, ensuring we're all aligned in supporting your child's educational journey. If you weren't able to attend, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher for any information you might have missed.

In our ongoing efforts to nurture a positive and supportive school environment, we've embarked on an exciting new initiative - our Kindness Wall. This project emerged from a recent assembly where our local PCSO informed us about some less-than-kind graffiti spotted down at the washpool. In response, we've created a space where pupils can write cheerful notes to make others smile. It's a simple yet powerful way to spread positivity and reinforce the values of kindness and consideration that are so central to our school ethos. Why not ask your child about our 'kind and caring place'?  They can start using this from Monday.

Looking ahead, I'm excited to announce that next Thursday marks the beginning of National Coding Week. We'll be embracing this opportunity to focus on coding during our computing lessons throughout the week. In today's digital age, coding skills are increasingly valuable, fostering logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and creativity. It's a fantastic chance for our pupils to explore the world of programming and perhaps discover a new passion or future career path.

As always, these initiatives and events are part of our commitment to providing a rich, varied, and engaging educational experience for all our pupils. We're constantly striving to create an environment where every child can thrive, develop new skills, and cultivate positive relationships with their peers and teachers.

Your continued support and involvement in your child's education make a world of difference. Whether it's attending school events, encouraging participation in initiatives like our Kindness Wall, or simply showing interest in what they're learning, your engagement helps reinforce the importance of education and school life.
