The weekly blog - keeping you up-to-date with school life; Stars of the Week; Housepoint winners and much more...

Welcome back to the start of the school year! It's been wonderful to see our pupils return to school with such enthusiasm and energy. I hope you've all had a restful summer break and are ready for the exciting year ahead.

I want to begin by expressing my gratitude for your support in ensuring our pupils look smart in their new uniforms. I understand that this can be a significant expense, and your efforts are truly appreciated. For those who may be missing any uniform items, we have a collection of unclaimed uniforms from last year. Please feel free to visit the school office to look through these. After next week, we'll be washing and ironing these items to use for pupils who may need uniform support in the future.

Our recent 'Dress as Your Superhero' day was a tremendous success. It was delightful to see the children arrive in such creative and lovely costumes. These events always bring a special energy to our school community, and I'm grateful for your participation in making it so enjoyable for the pupils.

I want to remind everyone about our one-way system for entering and exiting the school grounds. Please enter through the big gates where Mr H and I stand each morning to greet you, and exit via the small gate. This system helps us maintain a smooth flow of traffic and ensures the safety of all our pupils and families.

We're currently in the process of reviewing our school values. We feel that our current set of 11 values might be a bit challenging for the children to remember and apply in their daily lives. As part of this review, we're asking for input from our entire school community. All classes are discussing their top three values, and we'd love to hear from you as parents as well. Please email Mr Hatcliffe at n.hatcliffe@chiseldon.swindon.sch.uk with your top three values that you hold dear and would like us to consider for our school. Your input is invaluable as we work together to shape the ethos of our school.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement with our school community. Your partnership is crucial in ensuring the best possible educational experience for our pupils.

Here's to a fantastic year ahead filled with learning, growth, and shared achievements.
