Welcome back! I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter break and were able to spend some quality time as a family. It was truly heartwarming to see all our pupils return to school relaxed and ready to learn. As we embark on this new term, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our pupils.
This term is a short one, concluding on Friday, 23rd May, and it promises to be packed with engaging activities and important milestones. Our Year 6 pupils will be preparing for their SATs, a significant step in their educational journey. We understand that this can be a stressful time for both pupils and parents, and we are committed to providing the necessary support to ensure that our pupils feel confident and prepared.
In line with this, we will be inviting parents into school to learn more about our new mental health and well-being programme, My Happy Mind. This initiative is designed to promote positive mental health and resilience among our pupils as part of their PSHE curriculum. It is essential that our pupils not only excel academically but also develop the skills to manage their emotions and well-being effectively.
To complement this programme, we are excited to introduce a parent app that you can access to support your children at home. This app will provide resources, tips, and activities that align with what your children are learning in school, allowing you to engage with them in their mental health journey. Please keep an eye out for the date of our information session, which will be communicated via email soon.
As always, we value your partnership in your child’s education. Your involvement is crucial in creating a supportive learning environment both at school and at home. We encourage you to engage with your children about their experiences and the lessons they are learning, fostering a dialogue that reinforces their understanding and application of these important concepts.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our school community. Together, we can help our pupils thrive academically and emotionally. Here’s to a productive and enjoyable term ahead!
