The weekly blog - keeping you up-to-date with school life; Stars of the Week; Housepoint winners and much more...

What a fantastic time we had at our recent performance of Young Voices! A huge thank you to all the children who attended; you were absolutely brilliant! Each of you represented our school with pride and enthusiasm, singing alongside nearly 5,000 other children and a wonderful array of professional singers and dancers. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

I also want to express my gratitude to all the parents who came out to support our children. I know it was a very late night, but the memories created will last a lifetime. Who will sign up for next year's adventure? I can’t wait to see even more of our talented pupils take part!  If you would like to see some of the videos, please look at our Facebook Group.

Let’s also celebrate our football players who competed in the county final. You did an amazing job, and you should be incredibly proud of yourselves. Your hard work, determination, and teamwork shone through, and you are all role models for your peers.

Now, turning to Key Stage Two, you may have noticed that some of our children are bringing their musical instruments home to practice. This practice is crucial for their development, as it helps them remember key notes and hand positioning. As we all know, with musical instruments, if we do not practice, we do not remember!

I have taken the time to explain to the children the importance of treating these instruments with respect, as we are unable to replace them due to budget constraints. Please remind your children that instruments need to be brought back to school every Monday, and they will take them home after their lesson. Your support in helping your child master their instrument is greatly appreciated.

Thank you once again for your continued support and for being such an integral part of our school community. Together, we are nurturing the talents and well-being of our pupils, ensuring they thrive in all aspects of their education.
