Wow! What a whirlwind couple of weeks we've had here at school. I must apologise for the absence of a newsletter last week – our school sleepover left me a tad worn out, I must admit! So, I've rolled two weeks' worth of excitement into one bumper update for you all.

First off, I want to give a massive shout-out to our fantastic football teams. From Year 3 right through to Year 6, our pupils represented Chiseldon with true spirit and sportsmanship at two recent events. Your dedication and teamwork made us all incredibly proud – well done to everyone who took part!

Speaking of pride, our Year 5 pupils absolutely knocked our socks off with their recent assembly. They treated us to a fascinating deep dive into our monarchy and the Magna Carta. The wealth of knowledge they've managed to absorb and articulate was truly impressive. It's moments like these that remind us of the incredible learning journey our pupils are on.

Now, brace yourselves, because Christmas is well and truly upon us at Chiseldon! The festive spirit is in full swing, and we're all eagerly anticipating the upcoming performances and our Christmas dinner. Don't forget to dig out those Christmas jumpers – we're ready to celebrate in style!

But before we get carried away with visions of turkey and tinsel, I must draw your attention to our Christmas Fair next week. It's shaping up to be a real treat! Mr Timlin has been working his magic, crafting an array of fidget toys and other delightful stocking fillers. I highly recommend you pop along next Friday to see the wonderful items we have on sale. It's the perfect opportunity to tick off some Christmas shopping while supporting our school.

The air is buzzing with excitement here at school. From sporting triumphs to academic achievements, from creative endeavours to festive preparations – our pupils continue to amaze us with their enthusiasm and talent. As we hurtle towards the end of term, let's embrace this joyous time and celebrate all that makes our school community so special.

So, mark your calendars for the Christmas Fair, practice your carol singing, and get ready for a fantastic end to the term. It's party time at Chiseldon Primary & Nursery School!
