The weekly blog - keeping you up-to-date with school life; Stars of the Week; Housepoint winners and much more...

As we approach the festive season, I'm thrilled to share some exciting updates from our bustling school life. It's been a joy to witness our pupils engaging in diverse learning experiences, both inside and outside the classroom.

Our Year 6 pupils have recently taken part in Bikeability, an essential programme that equips them with crucial cycling skills and road safety knowledge. This practical learning experience not only enhances their independence but also promotes a healthy and environmentally friendly mode of transport. I'm proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to this important life skill.

Year 4 had a wonderful opportunity to visit Holy Cross Church, where they were warmly welcomed by Father Roger. I'm delighted to report that Father Roger was thoroughly impressed with their exemplary behaviour and active participation in the learning activities. These visits not only broaden our pupils' understanding of different faiths but also strengthen our ties with the local community.

Our youngest learners in EYFS had an exciting encounter with our local Police Community Support Officers. The highlight of their visit was undoubtedly the chance to explore a real police car up close. This hands-on experience not only captivated their imagination but also helped foster positive relationships with our local law enforcement.

Looking ahead, I'm excited to remind you about our upcoming sleepover event at the end of next week. If you haven't already secured your child's place, you can do so via Parent Pay. These overnight adventures are always a highlight of the school year, creating lasting memories and strengthening friendships.

As we edge closer to the festive season, it's time to start thinking about Christmas dinner! You can now book your child's Christmas meal through Parent Pay. To help with our catering preparations, we kindly ask that all bookings are made no later than Friday 6th December. This special meal is always a joyous occasion, filled with festive cheer and delicious food.

These varied experiences and upcoming events showcase the vibrant life at school. From practical life skills and spiritual exploration to community engagement and festive celebrations, we continue to provide a rich and diverse educational journey for our pupils.

Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement with our school community. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
