CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STARS OF THE WEEK ... Haruya and Elouise!
WE ARE THE ATTENDANCE CUP WINNERS FOR THIS WEEK! Let's see if we can keep this up?
WELL DONE and THANK YOU to Freya for the fantastic otter now displayed with Estella's award winning Lost Words Competition poem alongside others in the main corridor.
The new term commenced with 4 days of SATs papers revision working on the 2017 tests - well done everyone! We also started our new topic 'Greece Lightning' by looking at who the Ancient Greeks were and where they conquered. In RE we have returned to Islam and are looking at Beliefd and Moral Values. It was an interesting discussion on what living a 'good life' actually means as well as 'heaven', 'hell', 'right' and 'wrong'.
On Tuesday we learnt about Steven Lawrence and discussed the implications of racism as part of our work for Steven Lawrence Day. The class demonstrated real maturity and interest during the discussions we had. In PE the activity was orienteering - some great map reading and teamwork skills were evident!
Next week ...
More revision for the SATs.
Thursday 2nd May - Languages Day at Ridgeway School. Please bring a packed lunch for the day.
