Year 2 have just had an exciting week!
The children have all been making progress with their singing rehearsal's.
In English, we have all been completing our fantastic Superhero fact files, which the children have all shown great knowledge and understanding of all of the features and they have used their imaginations to come up with some exciting fictional facts.
In Maths the children have been learning all about multiplication, using the 2's, 5's 3's and 10 times tables. They have all shown progress and we are now ready to move on to division using these multiplication skills to convert them and to find any patterns which they both share.
This week we have had a special guest who came to visit year 2 for Remembrance Day, and we all talked and learnt about what happened in WW1 and what the soldiers were doing to protect our futures. The children all enjoyed the assembly and the presentation and they all created a wonderful acrostic poem to remember the soldiers who died for us in the war.
Please remember to keep practising your spellings and times tables which will be given out this Monday and to remember to keep reading at home as I will be assessing the children's progress in the next week.
I hope that you all have a peaceful weekend and I will see you all again on Monday.
