It has been another amazing week in year 2 and everyone has been working really hard.
In English we have started to explore how to write a story. We have begun to focus on our punctuation and grammar, also how to edit our work effectively.
At the end of the week we had our 'Mystery Box' write where the children have been putting in a lot of effort creating some amazing stories.
Next week, we will be looking at the different features of a story and how to describe characters and settings using adjectives and adverbs. The book we will be using for inspiration will be 'Cloudy with a chance of Meat Balls'.
In Maths this week we have been looking at adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. The children have all made good progress this week.
In Science this week we have been looking at a food pyramid and exploring how to have a healthy balanced diet. The children all recognised which foods belonged in which food groups and designed their own healthy plate.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I am looking forward to seeing you all this Monday for our European languages day. Year 2 will be celebrating the European country Greece.
