We have just completed our second week in Year 2 and the children have all been very busy, having fun and working hard.
This week in English, the children have been reading different kinds of food poetry and they have been trying to create their own Rhyming poems. The children enjoyed reading and sharing their poems to the class.
This week in Maths, the children have been focusing on the symbols of 'More than' and 'Less than'. We have also begun to explore our 2 times tables and using this knowledge to fill in missing number sequences. The children have also been working together in groups solving maths challenges in their 'Big Maths' lessons on the Friday.
In Art this week, I have some very talented artists! The children have been drawing and shading in their fruit and vegetable still life drawings, inspired by the French painter Paul Cezanne.
The children all had a Tennis taster session this week and they all seemed to be having fun and were all learning the basics of awareness and hand eye coordination.
I hope you all have a good weekend and I will see you all on Monday.
