Week 12th November 2018

This week has flown by in Year 3!

Our week started in Maths with times tables. We have been working really hard this week on our 3 and 4 times tables. We have had a lot of fun singing along to different songs and playing different games. It would help your children massively if they played some of these games at home. Our favourites are on the Topmarks website. The link for this website is https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/7-11-years/times-tables. This is something that is fun for the children that will benefit their Maths learning greatly. They can be done on a computer, tablet or phone at any time.

We continued with our new English book of The Secret of Black Rock and the children cannot wait to continue as they are so excited to find out what they will be writing about next.

This week in our Topic of The Great War, we looked at what life was like for the women who were left at home whilst their husbands went away to war. We researched all the different types of jobs they had to take and how their lives had changed.

It was Anti-Bullying week this week and the theme was Choose Respect. We looked at lots of different things relating to this topic including cyberbullying.

Have a fantastic weekend! I will see you all next week :)
