This week in maths we have been focusing on hundredths, how you get them by dividing a number by a hundred, and counting and ordering them. We did an investigation into Gattegno tens, which helped us to understand the numbers in patterns as you divide them by 10 and 100. We have been creating Kennings phrases in english, as we experience life for a little boy in a hurry to grow up! We have been working on our Roman mosaic patterns, but also have used our skills to create mosaic frames, which we sold at the Christmas fair. In guided reading, Lila, our heroine has been facing more worrying problems and learning how the text gives us clues to her feelings. Of course we have been doing lots of music and drama this week as we practice our fabulous. Christmas panto.
Please be aware that we will be swimming next thursday, as there aren't quite enough weeks next term.
Hope to see you at the topic celebration.
