This week Year 6 visited East Farm and carried out preparations for their class assembly.
On Monday the class visited East Farm and what a thoroughly enjoyable experience it was. The children were greeted by the owner on arrival and were shown some cows that had just arrived on the farm, along with meeting two sheep called Bob and Charlotte.
We then moved onto a wheat field where we found out how wheat is harvested and turned into flour. The class also discovered what other everyday products hold wheat as a staple ingredient.
After this we created our own butter and cooked some Scotch Pancakes, it was a great morning out.
The rest of the week saw us rehearsing for our Parent Assembly on Thursday afternoon. The children were fantastic and I hope you'd agree that they have produced some excellent work, learnt lots and have a new found knowledge about our Topic - Ready, Steady, Cook.
See our pictures from the week below. Have a fantastic weekend.
