We have had a really busy week in FS2! We have been making our own x-rays, completing lots of writing and working on our Maths skills as it was Maths Week!
On Monday, we looked at what a wanted poster was and created our own and gave our own reasons and to why they were wanted. We produce some fantastic posters and our handwriting is getting even better! We also created our own hand x-rays using white paint on black paper and then sticking straws over the top to look like an x-ray.
We also looked at how to make our own pictograph. We wanted to find out what people's favourite person who helped us was. First of all we looked at how to create a tally graph and then converted this into a pictograph. Most people loved policeman!
We got to read 'The Gruffalo's Child.' We then had to write about our favourite part of the book and used puppets to re-tell the story which we really enjoyed. In the afternoon we had a very special vistor come in. PCSO Emma came in to speak to use about her job and what we should do in scary situations. We got to try on her uniform and ask her lots of questions.
We have had a busy week this week and I am looking forward to another fantastic week next week. Forest Friday will be back to normal next week. Please could I also remind you that the children have PE on a Thursday afternoon. PE kits must be in on a Monday and can stay here for the whole term. If they don't have their PE kits they cannot take part in PE comfortably or appropriately.
See you on Monday,
Miss Smith :)
