We have had a challenging week in Year 3 but we have all get persisting and have shown a fantastic attitude to learning.
In maths this week we have been looking at the 4 and 8 times table. We whizzed through the 4 times table and some of us got to use the ipads to play the 4 times table games on DB primary and some of us got to play board games. The 8 times table we all struggled with so we spent a lesson finding different ways to help us learn it. This included singing, marching around the classroom to the beat and playing 'Hit the Button' on the interactive whiteboard.
In English we have continued with our explanation text. We have started our sentence stacking and have come up with some fantastic ideas! My favourite sentence this week was by Dominic. 'Quicker than a lightning bolt, the corrosive cheeks send your dog into a sitting position.' As you can see we have been looking at lots of technical language as well.
In Topic this week we did some research into Jame Starley who invented the Pennyfarthing. We also had to write a persuasive letter to a member of staff asking them to drive an electric car to school from now on.
If you are trying to get on DB primary, please use the school website and click on the image with the girl holding the VLE sign.
Have a lovely weekend.
