WB 25th September 2017

It has been a fantastic week this week. On Tuesday it was European Languages Day. We looked at Italy and we recreate an Italian version of the bake off. Miss Smith gave us a recipe to follow an we had to create Italian biscuits in teams. At the end of the day, Miss Weston had to judge each groups biscuits and decide on a winner. We had a brilliant day!

On Wednesday, we went on our trip to Bristol Aquarium. We learnt lots about all the different fish, including Nemo and Dory! We got to feed the larger fish with pellets and we looked at different coral, found out that a shark egg was known as a mermaid's purse and got to feel shark skin. We then all chose a different area in the aquarium to sit and draw our favourite fish.

On Thursday it was Poetry Day and the theme this year was Freedom. We talked about whether we thought the fish were free in the aquarium were given enough freedom or not. We had a debate as a class and presented whether we thought they were or they weren't. From this we then created a rhyming word bank to do with an aquarium and create our own rhyming poem.
