It has been a fantastic week in year 3. Everyone has really focused and shown an absolutely fantastic attitude to learning. A big well done to all of you!
This week in maths we have looked at how to use a formal written method to solve division problems. We use divisional brackets and looked at different ways of working it out.
In English, we came to the end of our sentence stacking for our explanation text. We had to design our very own pet robot and then write our own explanation text on it using cause and effect, technical language and including a diagram. There were some fantastic robots!
In Science, we chose our own question to investigate when it came to magnets. Some of us decided to test whether magnets were as strong under water. Others wanted to see which was the most powerful magnet.
In topic, we finally created our inventions of transport that we designed at the start of term. We used lots of different materials to help us to achieve our planned out come. We then had to evaluate our model and think about what went well and what could go even better.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Miss Smith :)
