This week in English, we have been learning to write setting descriptions. We have focused on using our senses, figurative language and improving our sentence openers. We looked at lots of different settings but particularly focused on a castle setting.
In maths, we have been learning how to convert between improper and mixed number fractions. Then we moved on to multiplying fractions by whole numbers.
In topic, we learnt about the rise of the Berlin Wall and thought about our own feelings if we were separated from friends and family. We then looked at the art and messages that are displayed on the Berlin Wall and had a go at creating our own symbolic messages. We also used a graffiti creator programme on the computer to write our name in graffiti.
On Monday, we were lucky enough to meet the Mayor of Swindon. He showed us around his chamber and we even had afternoon tea!
