This week in English, we continued learning about different myths. We looked at 'The Lambton Worm' in particular. We practised using different sentence openers to describe parts of the story and we used story mountains to help us identify the key features of a myth.
The whole school took part in maths week where each class learnt about statistics. In Year 5, we began by analysing and interpreting data, then we drew our own line graphs to show how many hours of daylight two contrasting countries have throughout the year.
On Thursday, we had some visitors in our classroom, They came from Swindon Magistrates Court and talked to us about the importance of being ambitious and getting jobs in the future. We talked about our dream jobs and looked at a range of objects which we had to rank in order of most expensive.
